Mura Innovations

Liverpool based Mura Innovations, a Liverpool based start up company offering high quality, bespoke flooring and wallpaper; recruits LJMU graduates Greg Murphy (Business & PR) and Stephanie Stenhouse (Business & PR) as well as appointing University of Liverpool Alumni Michael Palmer as their Marketing Manager.

Mura Innovations are a Liverpool based start up company that offer high quality, bespoke flooring and wallpaper. The two arms of the company, Murals Wallpaper and Murafloor are both completely ran from the company’s Jamaica Street offices. 


At the end of 2013, Managing Director Richard Wilde decided to use Graduate to Merseyside to source the new talent needed to help grow the business.


After speaking with Graduate to Merseyside’s Bob Weaver, Richard was presented with a number of candidates. After going through the interview process, Mura Innovations opted to employ Greg Murphy (pictured left) as the company’s Ecommerce Inbound Sales Executive. Greg’s Business and PR degree, attitude and background in sales earned him the role he occupied for only eight months before his recent promotion to Commercial Sales Executive. Of his promotion Greg notes:


“I feel I’ve gained a lot of hands on experience in the first eight months, I’m now really looking forward to putting this knowledge to good use to help drive the business forward and encourage growth.”


Having been pleased with Greg’s progress and excellent contribution to the company, Mura Innovations went back to Graduate to Merseyside to find Greg’s replacement. Wirral based Stephanie Stenhouse (pictured centre), who also holds a Business and PR degree, was the pick of a bunch of really strong candidates put forward by Bob.


Richard is delighted Stephanie has joined the company and is looking forward to working with her.


"Having seen the incredible progress and impact Greg has made in his first eight months, we are all really excited to see Stephanie’s input and development."

On getting the role Stephanie says:


“I found it a little scary finding work after graduation but the Graduate to Merseyside team were fantastic. They were friendly and helpful and kept me informed of developments every step of the way. I’m really please to have got the job at Mura Innovations and looking forward to developing and growing with the business.” 


Interestingly, Stephanie is not Mura Innovations only new starter this month with links to Graduate to Merseyside. October also saw Mura Innovations hire University of Liverpool Alumni Michael Palmer (pictured right) as their new Digital Marketing Manager who three years ago gained his first full time job through the Graduate to Merseysdie service. Michael notes:


“I am thrilled to be starting with Mura Innovations and really looking forward to the challenge. When I left university, Graduate to Merseyside helped me find work as a fresh graduate. I had a great time working with my last employer and learnt so much however the time felt right to take on a new challenge in my career. I am thankful for Graduate to Merseyside’s initial help for making all of this possible.”
